Hello, I'm Katrina.
My passion is learning and evolving as a human being through making art. With over 30 years of experience teaching visual arts across primary, secondary, VCE, and adult education, I created This Artful Life to give children, teens, and adults a calm and inspiring space to slow down, explore creativity, and truly connect with the joy of making art.
From my studio in Mornington, my approach involves taking students on a guided experience to think creatively, work with their hands, develop art and visual literacy, and connect deeply with their own ideas and artistic voice.
I balance teaching a high level of skill and technique with students exploring their own visual language - focusing on the process instead of the product. This builds confidence, curiosity, self-expression, and a deeper connection to themselves and the world around them.
